prettyI bought this ring at Winter Camp, so I have had this ring for about 7 months, and I wear it constantly. I never take it off, unless to clean it. I wear it at the beach, in the pool, etc. I am always flipping the ring so that only the "waits" shows because wear the "love" is, is all dinged up. Pewter is a very soft metal, and it gets nicks, and dings in it very easily. I guess I have always liked the waits part showing anyways, which is how the love got dinged up so quickly. The dings are very noticeable because they turned black. Otherwise, it has held up well. I am a very active person, so I use my hands a lot. I am always carrying wood, dragging things around etc, and I also ride horses, so I guess considering how well it has held up is good. My finger is very sensitive to other metals, and I will get scabs and blisters from anything but silver or apparently pewter. I have had a few purity rings because they all make my fingers act up, or because they are too big, or too small, but the small fit me great. I am a size 5 or 6. I am going to go to summer camp this year, and when I do, I am going to buy a ring that says TRUE LOVE WAITS, just for fun for my other ring finger. I love this ring, and I will wear it, no matter how stinky it looks, until I get married. I haven't noticed any tarnishing though, as the other reviews have pointed out. So, maybe I just got lucky.
